How to access live view for the CCTV system on the phone
Viewing your home CCTV system can be relatively easy to one who is seasoned and is very well versed with the system. However, for those who do not commonly view the CCTV cameras, here is a simple guide on how to view it.
Step 1: You need to download "HIK-connect" app from the App Store or Android Play Store.
Step 2: Upon downloading, you will need to enter the registered phone number's user name and password. The username can also be 65xxxxxxxx (x denotes the phone number that is registered with the home CCTV system digital video recorder during the initial set up).
Step 2a: if you forgot the password, you are able to reset the password using your phone number using the following convention 65xxxxxxxx (x denotes the phone number that is registered with the home CCTV system digital video recorder during the initial set up). An SMS will be sent to you shortly to confirm the one time password and you will be able to reset the password.
Step 3: Log into the account and click the recorder from the recorder list to view the live view.
Note: if you have deleted the recorder from the phone number, you will need to link the recorder to the phone account again.
